Genera of CYPHELLOID FUNGI

Description: Basidiomycetes with very small, cup-shaped fruiting bodies. Some look similar to the discomycete cup fungi, but the cyphelloid fungi usually have thinner flesh, with the hymenium closely lining the inside of the cup. Many are coarsely hairy. These fungi are saprobes, usually found on fallen wood.
