Urediniospores globose to ellipsoid, 25–33 × 15–20 μm, yellowish brown, finely echinulate. Telia often forming among the uredinia; mainly on the lower surfaces of leaves. Teliospores clavate to broadly elliptical, 1- (occasionally 2-) septate, 27–33 × 16–19 μm, finely echinulate; pedicel persistent.
