Notes: The rust and the host plant [Centaurea cyanus] are introduced (Cunningham 1931a), the latter
being a common garden plant. The rust occurs only sporadically in New Zealand. From the
records in the herbarium at Plant Diseases Division there are three records from the Wellington
Province in 1921-1923 and another from Marlborough in 1955.
