Notes: The host [Ranunculus lappaceus] is a small herbaceous species indigenous to New Zealand and
widespread in its occurrence in this country. The host also occurs in Tasmania and Australia
(Allan, 1961 p. 157). The rust is endemic and occurs only sporadically in the South Island in New
Zealand.
