Article: Massee, G.E. (1899) [1898]. The fungus flora of New Zealand. Transactions and Proceedings of the New Zealand Institute 31: 282–349 Wellington:.
Description: Pileus thin, globose, then hemispherical, with a prominent elongated umbo, coarsely striate at the margin, remainder even, glabrous, 1-1.5 cm. high and broad, ochraceous-yellow ; gills emarginate, with a decurrent tooth, rather crowded, broad, ventricose, rusty-orange ; spores elliptical, 13-14 x 7-8 µ; stem about 5 cm. long and 2 mm. thick, equal, twisted, fibrillose, rusty-orange, fistulose.
Habitat: On the ground.
Distribution: Dannevirke, New Zealand. New South Wales.
Notes: Distinguished by the prominent umbo.

Article: Horak, E. (1971). A contribution towards the revision of the Agaricales (Fungi) from New Zealand. New Zealand Journal of Botany 9(3): 403-462 (http://www.rsnz.org/publish/abstracts.php).
Description: Naucoria nasuta (Kalchbrenner) (8,16) Fig. 18 = Galerina sp.
This collection (COLENSO 1039) corresponds in all characters with the material described in this list under No. 177. Spores almond-shaped, distinctly warted, with smooth plage, brown, 8-9.5 X 4.5-5 µ, sometimes with visible germ pore. Pleurocystidia fusoid, apically bifurcate, thin-walled, non-pigmented, with clamp connection, 45-60 X 12-18 µ.

Article: Massee, G.E. (1899) [1898]. The fungus flora of New Zealand. Transactions and Proceedings of the New Zealand Institute 31: 282–349 Wellington:.
Description: Pileus 1-2 cm. across; flesh thin; campanulate, then convex, slightly umbonate, glabrous, almost even, at length slightly striate at the margin, hygrophanous, bay, ochraceous when dry; gills adnate, receding, broad, almost triangular, ochraceous-cinnamon ; spores 9-10 x 5 µ; stem 2-5 cm. long, about 2 mm. thick, almost glabrous and equal, coloured like, the pileus, stuffed, then hollow, often slightly curved at the base; ring superior, slender, entire.
Habitat: On trunks and branches.
Distribution: New Zealand. South Africa, Europe.
Notes: Subcaespitose; constant in habit, form, and colour.

Notes: The microscopical characters of this material (BERGGREN 70) indicate that this fungus is identical with a widely distributed species of Galerina which grows mainly on rotten wood of Nothofagus cliffortioides.

Article: Massee, G.E. (1899) [1898]. The fungus flora of New Zealand. Transactions and Proceedings of the New Zealand Institute 31: 282–349 Wellington:.
Description: Pileus convex, then expanded, hygrophanous, moist, glabrous, margin striate, honey-colour, becoming pale-tan when dry, about 2.5 cm. across; flesh thin; gills adnate, crowded, about 2 mm. broad, watery-cmnamon; spores 7-8 x 4 µ; stem 3-5 cm long, 2-4 mm thick, equal, or slightly thickened at the base, soft, not scaly, mealy aove the fugacious ring, pale-tan, base darker and surrounded with white down, hollow.
Habitat: On trunks, heaps of leaves, &c.
Distribution: Dannevirke, New Zealand. Australia, Europe, Siberia.
Notes: Allied to Pholiota mutabilis, but differing in the stem below the ring not being scaly, but only somewhat fibrillose ; commonly smaller; solitary or gregarious, rarely caespitose.

Notes: Unfortunately no material of this species exists, but it is very likely that the agaric described under this name is conspecific with an annulate Galerina which grows everywhere in New Zealand.
