Biostatus

Present in region - Indigenous. Non endemic
Description: Stromata: Stromata pulvinate, or effused; perithecia inconspicuous; ostioles finely papillate; stromatal surface more or less smooth (but unevenly undulate in height); grey, purplish-grey, or buff, or dark brown (brown vinaceous); KOH-extractable pigments lacking; tissue below perithecia inconspicuous (whitish when immature).
Perithecia: Perithecia more or less globose; 0.3-0.5 mm diam.
Asci: Amyloid ring higher than broad, or approximately equal in dimensions.
Ascospores: Ascospores 9-11 µm long; 4-4.5 µm wide; very pale brown; 0-septate; in side view more or less equilateral; in face view oblong-elliptic; ends broadly rounded. Germ slit straight, less than spore-length. Perispore indehiscent in 10% KOH.
