HydnangiumNotesA mycorrhizal, truffle-like fungus. The single species known from New Zealand (H. carneum) is found under both native (tea-tree) and exotic (Eucalyptus) trees. Probably native to New Zealand.
Other species referred to Hydnangium in the past, are now placed in a range of other genera.
