GallaceaNotesTruffle-like fungus with fruiting body with columella, spores smooth, elliptical. Distinguished from Hysterangium because of the absence of an utricle (loose outer covering) from the spore and the tendency for large schizogenous cavities to develop in the gleba.
Probably ectomycorrhizal with beech and tea-tree.
