MniopetalumNotesSmall, thin-fleshed but tough and leathery, saprobic basidiomycetes with shelf-like fruiting bodies on mosses. Globose to subglobose spores. The hymenial surface is folded rather than gill-like. Cheimonophyllum and Anthracophyllum are morphologically similar but grow on dead wood.
