Genera of TOOTH FUNGI

Description: The tooth fungi include a diverse group of species, sharing a single feature - the spore-bearing surface is covered with teeth. Included here are the mushroom-like Hydnum spp., crust fungi, bracket fungi, and the beautiful 'fungus icicles' (Hericium). Biologically these fungi are also diverse, ranging from saprobes, to wood-rotters, to ectomycorrhizas.
